LKAB's mine in Kiruna

   
LKAB mines and processes iron ore in Norrbotten for the global steel market. We have ongoing projects in Kiruna, both above ground and underground. Logistics in all mining is important. In the underground mines, the ore is extracted by slab mining. It is an effective mining method for steep ore bodies where gravity is used and transported the degraded ore to ground level. In the open pit, the ore is extracted by pallet mining, which is an effective extraction of the ore. The ore is transported to the Svappavaara industrial area for further processing.

 
Our mission in this is to manage the measurements for the construction projects that Peab and Veidekke perform on behalf of LKAB.
